About HappyHour!

At this point the web site will look very amateurish, however, check back frequently as it will undergo rapid updating, in both format, features and most importantly reviews.

Why the web site? Originally, it started as an elaborate plan to obtain free drinks from cool bars...

During the search for newer better bars to spend my hard earned dollars, we found that a number of 'reputable' bar guides provided less than realistic reviews. Which lead me to the opinion that either the bar guides were developed based on 'cash for comments' or that the author has a flair for writing without ever having actually ordered a drink.

Enough is enough, no more fancy writing, just realistic, down to earth reviews of bars around Melbourne.

Obviously everyones tastes are different, so we fully expect to have our critics, so feel free to email me your appraisal and we'll add your comments to the review.

I'm not one to 'follow the crowd' generally, so we'll also give you an idea as to how packed each venue is. After all, why pay good money to spend the night standing in a queue when there's some drinking to be done.

Check the date of review too, who knows, the establishment in question may have changed significantly in the last week or so :)

Privacy

We actually don't really care who you are so long as you enjoy using our website. We do however put a cookie on your machine. This is only so we can tell if you come back... because if you come back, then our website might have been of some use to you. Please come back...

Oh by the way, if you email us, your email address will not be sold or passed on to any third party.

Thanks

Had to say thanks to a few people in particular JNo for the alcoholic encouragement and especially to Melissa. In particular, thanks to everyone who makes drinking on anynight alot of fun. Thanks to JRock for the money, the idea, the drinks and the reviews. Does anybody else drink out there?

Oh and of course, a special mention to Ben, the only guest reviewer never to have submitted a review. Still without Bens dedication, Im sure a number of venues would have gone broke by now. As I see it he is the closest living thing to Oliver Reed.
