Ok, we've all heard it time and again, that science is for geeks. Well I'm here to tell you that science affects every aspect of our lives. NewScientist has a whole section on their website relating to the science of alcohol. If you have ever wondered why champagne or mixing your drinks will make you even more inebriated then you should check out the Alcohol section of the NewScientist website. If you are still not convinced, you definately need to read the article which states a study in Japan shows that moderate drinkers have a higher IQ than teetotallers. Oh and before your next big night out, take a totally unscientific look at hangover cures.

For those of you who like to try different beers, check out www.beerawards.com. Not a particularly useful site, nor inovative however they do provide some insight into up and coming flavours available around the country. The links page on the beerawards site can provide access to some interesting and informative websites.

While it seems trendy these days to trash Fosters and various other CUB beers, their web site is nonetheless a good informative site. Good information on the brewing process and beer terms explained, such as the difference between a lager and an ale.
